When I first used the Dakota 10 (010-00781-00) on my bicycle, I was a bit uncertain about the performance because of the mixed reviews I had received for it. But, when I tested the anti-glare sunlight readable screen of the unit under the scorching sun, I was very impressed.

The Garmin Dakota10 handheld GPS navigation with 2.6 inch color touchscreen. The Dakota10 is a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix that automatically calculates and stores critical satellite information and can use that information to quickly calculate a position. It includes 850MB built-in memory that can hold up to 1,000 waypoints, 50 routes, 2,000 geocaches, an active tracklog of up to 10,000 points and 200 saved tracks.
The Garmin Dakota 10 GPS receivers can quickly acquire and maintain satellite reception, even poor reception environments like under heavy tree cover or deep canyons.
